Account Name:
1.Student Solutions（可能也是中国学生选择最多的一种）

Facilities Offered :
Cheque Book
Combined cash and Visa debit card to use in cash machines and pay in shops
Can apply for credit card subject to conditions
Direct debits
Standing Orders
Account can be opened before student has a permant UK address
Large amounts of Cash can be depoistd in the bank safe for security whilst account is being set up
Telephone and Internet banking
Can also open savings account to earn higher interest
Mandarin Chinese and Arabic speaking staff available Sep-mid October

Facilities Not available:
Account can't be opened for students here for less than one academic year

Conditions:
a.Service is free if balance is constantly a minimum of 2000 Pound.
b.Monthly service charge of 5 Pound if balance under 2000 Pound(这个大家要注意了）.To obtain credit card,balance must be 10000Pound or 5000 Pound +proof of fees paid .

2.Cash Card Account
Facilities Offered :
The same facilities as above except :
Electron card to use in cash machine
Account can be opend for less than one one year
No minimum balance required

Facilities Not available:
No cheque book
No cash/visa debit card
No Standing Orders
No credit card
No telephone or internet banking
No high interest account

象各个银行提供的facilites都差不多就不分开说了
具体说下他们的要求和条件
1.Student Account
Student's UK address must be in University accommodation.
Student must show proof that they have paid their fees and they have 5000 Pound to depoist into their account.
Student must be doing a higher education course of 2 years of more in the UK.

2.Step Account
Same conditions as above except :
Account can be opend for short stay students

3.HSBC(一向对申请者要求比较高）

1.You must request an account applicationpack online from [url= www.hsbc.co.uk/1/2/personal/curr ... ernational-students ] www.hsbc.co.uk/1/2/personal/curr ... ernational-students [/url] and receive your application form by post before visiting the bank
2.You must not hold any other student accounts elsewhere
3.You must be studying a fulltime course.

我对于开bank account的建议是：
如果在国内条件允许的话大家可以去先开个汇丰的帐户，这样是最好的，即方便这边的使用也方便父母汇钱。当然大部分人都是过来再办这边银行的银行帐户的这样也没有关系。
我的第一推荐是Barclays，服务态度绝对一流，在英国的服务网点也相对较多，有很多同学在为那每月5POUND 的罚金着急，要放远眼光，5Pound你在哪里不能省出来，我们不是享受到了那样的服务了么。
